Introducing... Epicurean Adventures!
My last post inspired my to start a new angle for my blog. I'm sure there isn't anything you could care less about than my every day life so, I've decided to prove you wrong! I'm going to start writing about food. Not just any food.. but the food I plan to cook and then eat.
"HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH SUCH A GREAT IDEA?" you ask? Well, I am what one might consider a "foodie". That is, I am devoted to the pursuit of sensual pleasure through luxurious food and drink. Therefor, I constantly search for great new recipes to try at home.
Here's to my first official post including my first official recipe:

That, my friends, is a Kiwano fruit. It is also known as the Horned Melon, melano, African horned cucumber, jelly melon, hedged gourd, and/or English tomato. Choose one that is ripe and bright orange in color. If you can't get one that is already ripe, then just wait until it is before you eat it. Some say it tastes like a banana but it's a little tart to me.
Here's what you need:
- 1 kiwano fruit
- a knife
- a bowl (optional)
1. Cut the fruit along it's imaginary equator. There should now be two equally fat sections.
2. You can either squeeze the fruit out of the shell or suck it out. Eating the seeds won't hurt but if it's too weird and you don't mind the extra effort, just spit them out.
Pretty easy, huh? THAT'S WHAT I SAID! Let me just share this now.. I'm a pretty simple person. I like delicious, quality food that is relatively easy to make and won't cost a fortune. That being said, I will always try to make meals that won't take more than an hour from walking in the door to setting plates on the table.
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for...
WHAT I AM EATING NEXT WEEK:
Sunday: Cinnamon Raisin Bread - I am making my own recipe for this bread as a snack this week.
Monday: Eggplant Pizzettes - This is a healthy and DELICIOUS variation of pizza
Tuesday: Corona Chicken and baked beans - Marinated chicken stuffed with jalapenos, cheese, onion, and wrapped in bacon then grilled
Wednesday: Cheesy Spanish Frittata - Cheese, Eggs, and garden vegetables = YUM
Thursday: Tortilla Turkey Burgers - Turkey burgers with black beans
Friday: Gingered Chicken with cauliflower and carrots
Coming soon: RECIPES to the food I plan to eat!
