Chocolate Chip Cookies FTW!
Yes, I made chocolate chip cookies. Yes, they are from scratch. I've made them before but I wanted a new recipe with more common ingredients so I could make them on a whim. This morning was perfect for baking on the whim! So.. here it is. My new chocolate chip cookie recipe!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

PREHEAT oven at 375.
PART 1

Mix in small bowl:
· 2¼ C flour
˹ 1 tsp baking soda ˺
1 tsp salt
or
2 tsp baking powder
˻ ½ tsp salt ˼
PART 2

Beat together in separate large bowl:
· 1 C butter, softened
· ¾ - 1 C sugar
· ¾ - 1 C brown sugar
· 1 tsp vanilla
PART 3

Add each egg, one at a time, to the wet ingredients.
· 2 eggs
PART 4

Add the dry to the wet ingredients gradually to insure your dough is blended properly.
PART 5

Stir in morsels gently so you don't break them.
· 1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips
PART 6
Stir in nuts.
· 1 C chopped nuts (optional)

Make sure your dough is not too dry by following your directions exactly and having a trustworthy source! I made this mistake and ended up with a bad batch of dough.

PART 7

Drop onto ungreased sheets about 2 inches apart and bake 9 to 11 minutes.

Let them set for about 2 minutes on the pan them move them to a wire rack to allow them to cool completely.

Remember, every day is a great day to make cookies and these are the perfect compliment to any mood!

I can't believe I actually said, "Remember, every day is a great day to make cookies and these are the perfect compliment to any mood!" I'm such a dork.
